Privacy Policy
Effective 25 August 2026
This policy explains how CareSriLanka handles personal information when people use our website, request or receive coordinated care, apply as a professional or provider, or communicate with our team.
Information we collect
We collect account and contact details, care requests, professional or provider application information, service records, communications, security records and technical information needed to operate the platform. Care requests may include health or support information that you choose to provide.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, review and coordinate care requests, assess professional and provider applications, arrange services, communicate about the service, meet legal and safeguarding duties, prevent misuse and improve CareSriLanka.
Legal basis and consent
We process information where it is necessary to provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate operational and security interests, or where you have given consent. Where consent applies, it may be withdrawn for future processing.
Who can access information
Access is limited by role and operational need. Relevant information may be shared with authorised CareSriLanka staff, approved care professionals or providers, technology suppliers acting for us, and authorities where required by law or safeguarding obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and international access
Information is stored using service providers selected to support secure platform operation. Where information is accessed or processed outside Sri Lanka, CareSriLanka uses appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
Retention
We retain information only for as long as it is needed for care coordination, account administration, safeguarding, dispute resolution, audit and legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the type of record and applicable requirements.
Security
CareSriLanka uses access controls, authenticated accounts, encrypted connections, logging and operational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their passwords and report suspected misuse promptly.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, restrict, object to, export or delete personal information. Some records may need to be retained for legal, safeguarding or service-integrity reasons. You may also withdraw optional analytics consent through the cookie controls.
Children and dependent adults
A parent, guardian or authorised representative should provide information for a child or dependent adult only when they have authority to do so. CareSriLanka may request evidence of that authority where appropriate.
